We all love the colour blue, calming, soothing, relaxing for both body and mind. Here is a short sample of the organic projections as an open eye meditation, at a festival or for a private session, event or function. Just imagine!Blue is more than a colour. It is a frequency that speaks directly to the nervous system. We know this instinctively — the calm of the sea, the endless sky, the coolness of twilight. Blue invites us to exhale.
Research supports this. Studies show that exposure to blue light lowers heart rate and reduces feelings of anxiety. In psychology, blue is often associated with clarity, trust, and calm. It is why we reach for blue when we want reassurance and stability.
But blue also has a paradoxical depth. Too much can tip into melancholy, sadness, or withdrawal. This is the shadow of blue: stillness turning into stagnation. Light literacy means learning to work with both aspects — knowing when to invite blue to soothe, and when to balance it with warmer tones.
In kaleidoscopic light sessions, blue often appears when the body longs for quiet. It brings coherence to scattered thought, slows the breath, and creates space for suppressed expression to rise gently. Clients often describe feeling more able to speak after being immersed in blue fields, as though their voice has finally found room.
Blue reminds us of the power of stillness. It teaches us that silence is not empty — it is restorative.
