Tools

Over the years, I’ve worked with a few simple tools that help me come back to myself. Not as solutions, and not as something you need to “get right”, but as ways to shift state gently, without overthinking it. You don’t need to understand why they work. The body responds first. These are the ones I return to most often.

I’ve worked with a singing bowl for over 10 years.
It’s one of the simplest ways I know to shift my state when things feel tight, noisy, or unclear.

I don’t use it in a ritualistic way.
I use it when I feel off, when my body feels contracted, or my mind is looping.

A single tone, sustained properly, gives the body something steady to respond to.
The breath changes. The chest softens.
Things begin to settle on their own.

You don’t need to do anything complex.
Just let the sound land, and notice what changes.

If you’re looking for a simple bowl to begin with, here’s one similar to what I use:

Light has been a big part of my work for a long time, not in a technical way, but in how the body responds to it.

I use simple light when I feel flat, disconnected, or overstimulated.
Especially in the evenings, or when my energy feels scattered.

You don’t need long sessions.
Even a few minutes of consistent, gentle exposure can shift how the body feels.

It’s less about “treatment” and more about giving the system a clear signal to respond to.

If you’d like to explore this in a simple way, here’s a good starting point:

Integration — Working With What You Feel

This is where things begin to integrate.

After working with light or sound, I’ve found it’s important to give the experience somewhere to land.

Not by analysing it, but by letting it take form in a simple, grounded way.

Sometimes that’s writing.
Sometimes it’s drawing shapes, colours, or patterns without trying to understand them.

Buy the Journal here

It’s not a traditional journal.
It’s a space to track what you’re noticing, visually, emotionally, and physically, as your perception begins to shift.

You don’t need to “use it correctly”.
You simply meet what’s there, and let it move.

These tools aren’t here to fix anything.

They’re here to support you in returning to a state where things feel clearer, steadier, and more like yourself again.

If you’re exploring this and want more guidance, you’re always welcome to work with me directly.

Colour is one of the most direct ways to shift how the body responds.

I often work with simple colour filters, placing them over light sources or using them in a very gentle, exploratory way.

Different colours tend to evoke different responses in the body.
Some feel opening, others more grounding or containing.

There’s no need to force meaning onto it.
You simply notice what changes as you work with it.

I’ve put together a small set of colour filters that you can use at home to begin exploring this for yourself:
