My journey into kaleidoscope making began with a fascination for light, colour and the extraordinary patterns created through reflection.
Together with Turid, my original business partner and co-founder of Colour Vision Kaleidoscopes, I began developing optical designs that combined craftsmanship, experimentation and creative play.
Over the years, I’ve explored different mirror geometries, materials and methods of construction, creating everything from simple handheld kaleidoscopes to customised corporate commissions and larger optical installations.
Each design brings its own challenges and possibilities. What has remained constant is my curiosity about how a simple arrangement of mirrors, light and colour can create an almost endless variety of visual experiences.
More than twenty years later, that curiosity continues to shape everything I create.
